Best Decision to Move

I decided to make a move to a smaller town from Farmers Branch, Texas.

This was completely unexpected but growing up I had a reoccurring back problem that we thought was managed but was becoming progressively worse over the years. We were all unaware of this.

That back problem became debilitating and I could not walk up the stairs to my apartment. I decided to finally see a doctor where I was told that my previous diagnosis of Disc Degenerative Disease in my lower back has spread down to my S1 vertebrae and had started to collapse. I also have a fractured coccyx. I was shocked and frustrated. I'm still processing this.

I have developed insecurties over time about going to the doctor due to hearing to words 'you are normal', when in fact I felt terrible. My body over time felt terrible and finally, after I woke up one day hearing a random whooshing sound in my left ear, I put all my previous health problems on hold. This decision would come back to haunt me later.

( What I've learned: I've decided not to feel bad about the previous decisions I've made or beat myself up about the what if's. Researching a specialist for help with a health problem has become a reoccurring factor in receiving the correct help for MY health problems.)

There is nothing we can do currently with my back but just manage it with medication and light exercises. I have been told I have the back of an 80-year-old, and I feel it some days more than others.

But I chose to merge my new journey with my previous health experience with stenosis so let's see where this goes.
